How We Met

We met through a good friend of mine from high school.  He was in a fraternity with Luis in college.  All the guys got a beach house over the summer in 2005.  I went there with my friend, and met Luis.  We didnt actually start dating until the Spring of 2008.  (Luis thought he was moving to Vegas for work...I didn't want a long distance relationship.)   I couldn't be happier that those plans fell through!

My Perfect Proposal

It couldn't have been any more perfect!!!!..........We went to NYC for one of Luis' friends engagement party.  We decided to make it a little getaway and stay for a long weekend.  We got to our hotel in Times Square on Thursday night.  We did some sight-seeing and went to a comedy show that night.  Earlier in the week he told me he had booked us a horse-drawn carriage ride through Cental Park for Friday.  My thought was FINALLY!!!! (I have been bugging him that I wanted to do that!)  We went to Chinatown Friday morning so that I could do one of the things that I do best, SHOP FOR PURSES.  He told me we had to be at Central Park by 2:30 for our ride.  I still wasn't thinking anything of it.  We got there and our driver Frank came at 2:40 on the dot.  We rode through Central Park for about a half hour with him showing us different landmarks throughout.  He stopped and told us if we wanted to could get out and check out the famous "Bow Bridge" that's in a bunch of movies.  We took a little walk to get there and it was beaultiful!  I was taking pictures of all the row-boats going underneath us, and I looked over and he was on one knee.  I started crying and said yes.  I couldn't even remember what he said! His next words were, "Smile for a picture".  HE HAD A PHOTOGRAPHER THERE TO GET PICTURES OF EVERYTHING!! I was so overwhelmed with emotion.  We got back on the carriage and I had to ask him what he said to me when he was down on his knee.  It was all a blure.  It was for sure the best day of my life.
